Commenting on a Planning Application
If you would like to comment on a planning application, West
Northamptonshire Development Corporation advises you
to read the following information prior to submitting your
comment.
Please ensure that your comments are relevant to planning
issues. Unfortunately comments on non-planning matters cannot be
considered. Please note we cannot respond individually to specific
questions or points raised, although they will be taken into
account.
In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Data
Protection Act 1998, and other legislation, the public has a right
to inspect all papers connected with an application. When
submitting a comment on a planning application to WNDC, we will
record your name, address and comments. Your name and address
will be published, along with any comments you make, in the public
planning register, which is available in hard copy and online.
Comments you make on an application may be made available
for viewing on the Corporation's website in the future.
You therefore may wish to take the following steps to avoid
unnecessary publication of your personal details.
- Do not provide a signature - your name is required but should
be printed
- Do not include any telephone numbers
- When corresponding by email, send your views as an attachment,
thus avoiding publication of your email address
- However, your postal address must be provided
Copies of applications, plans and other documents submitted
are available for inspection here, or at
the WNDC Planning Department, Franklins Gardens, Weedon Road,
Northampton, NN5 5RW. The offices are open between the hours
of 10.00 - 12.00 and 14.00 - 16.00.
