Planning Obligations Strategy
WNDC’s Planning Obligations Strategy was adopted by the Corporation in December 2008. The Strategy sets out the Corporation’s approach to securing appropriate levels of developer contributions towards the infrastructure required to mitigate the impact of new development.
It established a ‘standard charge’ approach that is applicable to all residential development on a per unit basis, with commercial development negotiated on a case by case basis.
WNDC has undertaken a review of the POS and has been seeking comments on the revised documentation below.
Please note that the formal consultation period for commenting on the revised documentation has now ended. The representations received are being reviewed and the formal responses of WNDC, as well as the next steps in the process, will be considered and agreed by WNDC’s Board in due course.
