WNDC's Stronger Communities Fund
Community and Voluntary sector groups can now apply for grants
from WNDC’s new Stronger Communities Fund, totalling £750,000 over
the next two and a half years.
Groups will be able to apply to the WNDC Board grant panel that
will make decisions on applications. Grants will be
considered primarily for up to £10,000. However, in
exceptional circumstances higher amounts will be considered.
The WNDC Board members on the grant panel are -
Lee Barron (Chair)
Cllr Sandra Barnes
Cllr Chris Millar
Monies granted will not be limited to just Northampton, Daventry
and Towcester. Groups from surrounding rural areas who are
likely to be affected by the growth of the three towns will be able
to apply. A map illustrating the geographical catchment areas can
be found here.
The fund will be managed by the Northamptonshire Community
Foundation (NCF) and groups wishing to apply for funding can find
further information on their website from the 1st October at
http://www.ncf.uk.com/ or by
telephoning 01604 230 033.
