WNDC has provided over £600,000 to support the provision of a new and improved library in Daventry town centre. It is part of the wider vision for Daventry town centre which WNDC is delivering in partnership with Daventry District Council.
The new library will be repositioned in the centre of the town within a purpose built, modern building. It will benefit from a larger library capacity, as well as up-to-date digital technologies and space for cultural activities.
The Children and Families Services, presently housed in the current library building, have been relocated into Daventry District Council’s Lodge Road building. This move will allow the design for the new building to concentrate solely on its use as a library and will also create approximately 25% additional space.
