Improved road infrastructure is fundamental to the continued growth and economic success of Daventry.
If Daventry is to grow significantly in size and provide new jobs for local people, pressure will need to be relieved on the existing A45 Northampton to Daventry corridor.
WNDC has funded a study to explore and define the options for improving the transport infrastructure in this area. This potentially means a new bypass that will address traffic pressure on the villages of Flore and Weedon.
The study is being delivered in partnership with Northamptonshire County Council as the local highways authority. The study process includes extensive consultation with local stakeholders and a preferred option for the transport enhancements is due to be established by the end of 2010.
