WNDC has received a planning application for 3,000 new homes, a new bypass, and major commercial development on land to the south of Towcester town centre.
An extensive consultation exercise has already been undertaken with the local community and the Corporation will continue to work closely with the developers to deliver a scheme which reflects the consultation responses and produces the best possible outcome for the people of Towcester.
In 2009, WNDC worked with South Northamptonshire Council on a town wide masterplan, to set the context for new development and help market the area to investors. Any new development will need to fit with the goals and aspirations of this plan.
