WNDC has helped local people get a head start in business through the Portfolio Innovation Centre, based at the University of Northampton. The centre provides first class offices and a supportive network for young design, digital and creative companies.
It first opened in 2006 and its huge potential was quickly realised. In 2007, WNDC pledged 1.7m to support an extension to the centre, meaning it has now tripled in size and can support up to 45 new businesses in the design, digital and creative sector.
The centre is helping to nurture talent and innovation, providing young entrepreneurs with all the tools they need to succeed.
It is a co-funded project between The University of Northampton, West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC), Arts Council East Midlands and Northamptonshire Enterprise Ltd (NEL).
