WNDC knows that investing in Northampton’s future means investing in its children. For nearly 50 years, the Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs has been helping the County’s young people grow and flourish. Recognising the importance of their work, WNDC has helped fund some major improvements at their Kings Park Conference and Sports Centre.

Following a £750,000 grant from WNDC, the NAYC were able to complete a £1.6m extension to the conference centre in September 2008. The new wing is named Winnie Hall Lodge in memory of the late philanthropist whose trust helped enable the 48 new rooms to be built.

The centre now has now doubled in size, providing capacity for 190 people and improving facilities for the 250 voluntary organisations and charities which use King’s Park each year. WNDC’s funding also helped support improvements at the sports centre, including Northampton newest and biggest climbing wall.
