WNDC joins Business Alliance Group
West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC), the body delivering new jobs, homes and investment across the west of Northamptonshire, has joined Northamptonshire Chamber’s Business Alliance Group.
The Business Alliance Group is an exclusive group of organisations set up to help shape the future of business in Northamptonshire.
Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Chamber, said: “I am delighted to welcome WNDC to the Business Alliance Group. Both the Chamber and WNDC are very focused on growing the local economy and implementing the infrastructure required to maintain this growth.
“Being members of the Business Alliance Group will allow WNDC to participate in a range of our events and activities and meet with more of our member companies, including some of the county’s major players.”
WNDC’s Chief Executive, Peter Mawson added: “Local firms are playing a key role in the regeneration of Northampton, Daventry and Towcester. By being members of the Business Alliance, we hope to build an even closer relationship with the local business community as we deliver new jobs, homes and investment in the area.”
During the past five years, WNDC has invested around £70 million in local infrastructure and regeneration projects in West Northamptonshire. They range from award winning new roads and flood defences to town centre schemes including the Daventry iCon, Towcester Moat lane, and the redevelopment of Northampton waterside.
As the planning authority for strategic applications in the area, it has also approved over 550, 000 sq m of commercial development, supporting thousands of new jobs in west Northamptonshire.
