Overview of appealed developments

Please find below an overview of the three appealed proposed sustainable urban extensions -

The Danetree and Church Fields proposed developments are within both WNDC's urban development area and Daventry District Council's boundaries. Therefore, seperate applications for these two urban extensions were submitted to WNDC and Daventry District Council as determining planning authorities.

The Monksmoor proposal sits wholly within WNDC's development area.

A mixed-use urban extension comprising of 107.88ha. of residential development with up to 5,150 dwellings. Proposals include village centres with 1,561 sq.m. of retail development and 1,561 sq.m. of professional services, cafés, restaurants, drinking establishments and hot food takeaways. 10.98ha. is dedicated to employment development, 15.09ha. to educational facilities and 63.42ha. to public open space and new and realigned highways.

Address - Land at Long Buckby Rd, Daventry

A mixed-use urban extension comprising of 75.05ha. of residential development with up to 4,000 dwellings. Proposals include a district centre and local centres with retail and business units, health centres, nursery and a community building. 8300 sq.m. is dedicated to office space, 1 secondary and 3 primary schools are proposed and 129.41ha. of open space, which incorporates formal and informal recreation activities. Diversion of the B4036 Long Buckby Road on to a new road and downgrading of part of Norton Way to a quiet 'greenway' is also proposed.

A mixed-use urban extension comprising of 34.02ha. of residential development of 1,000 dwellings. Proposals include a local centre with shops, chemist, doctor's surgery, community centre, changing facilities and moot hall. 0.2ha. is dedicated to office space and 2,150 sq.m to live-work units. One primary school, 4,4ha. of playing fields and pitches, 0.5ha. of children's play space and 5.17ha. of informal open space is also proposed.
