How to take part
Only the person who applied for planning permission can appeal
against the LPA's decision, but if you had an interest in the
application then you will probably also have an interest in the
appeal.
Please check the WNDC news page for
updates throughout and after the Inquiry.
If you would like to speak at the appeal you must attend when
the Inquiry opens to request such an opportunity. The opportunity
to speak is at the discretion of the Inspector.
There is also a public gallery at the Inquiry if you would like
to observe any of the sessions.
The Inquiry begins on Tuesday, 20 January 2009 and will be in
session at the following times.
10.00 - 17.00 Tuesday - Thursday
09.30 - 14.00 Fridays
3 blocks of 3 weeks are provisionally programmed with a break of
1 week (minimum) between each. Dates indicated below are weeks
commencing on Tuesdays.
1) 20 January, 27 January, 3 February
2) 17 February, 24 February, 3 March
3) 17 March, 24 March, 31 March
Amended Information
At the end of February 2009, parties involved in the Daventry
planning appeals agreed the Inquiry would be adjourned until later
in the year. The Inquiry continued on Tuesday, March 24 for
two days to cover issues around flood risk and infrastructure then
adjourned until Thursday, June 25 to continue for approximately
three and a half weeks. In June the Inspector will hear
evidence regarding highways matters, Section 106 and conditions
prior to closing statements. The Inquiry schedule is available
