Engagement with community on Former British Timken Works
In line with WNDC’s commitment to public consultation and to ensuring that new development meets the Government’s design quality and environmental performance standards, a public exhibition is being held by WNDC at the Duston Library and Community Centre building between Monday 21 July and Friday 8 August 2008.
The exhibition will showcase the design guide and environmental standards for the proposed employment developments on the former British Timken Works in Duston.
Stephen Kelly, WNDC’s Director of Planning and Development, said: “These documents are part of our continued commitment to delivering a high quality sustainable development on this site. WNDC looks forward, through this exhibition, to the community’s continuing participation with us in realizing this objective.”
The developer, Wilson Bowden Developments, have submitted details on landscaping, materials, ecology, transport that will be available to view at the exhibition. Planning officers from WNDC will also be available to answer questions on Thursday, 24 July at 10.00 – 13.00, Friday, 25 July at 15.00 – 18.00 and Saturday, 26 July at 10.00 – 13.00. Comments need to be received by WNDC by Monday, 11 August.
