Northampton is alive with ambition and enterprise. There has rarely been a more exciting time for the town, with an array of major improvements being delivered in unison. Working in partnership with the local authorities, WNDC’s priority is the completion of six major regeneration projects.
Castle Station: An iconic £20m gateway to Northampton, which will offer better facilities, capacity and station services. Read more
Avon Nunn Mills: Prestigious mixed use development, including a new University Campus. The scheme will breathe new life into brownfield land, including the derelict Avon Cosmetics factory and the old Nunn Mills power station. Read more
St Peter’s Waterside: A new beginning for Northampton’s waterside area, stretching from the land opposite Castle Railway station to the town centre gasholders. It will feature landmark new offices, including a state-of-the-art Innovation Centre. Read more
Grosvenor Centre: A transformation of the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, providing a modern shopping experience in the heart of town. In order for the Grosvenor Centre to expand, the Greyfriars Bus Station will be demolished. It will be replaced by a bright and welcoming bus interchange, alongside additional on-street bays. Project Angel: Located within Northampton’s emerging cultural quarter, Project Angel is a major office development being led by Northamptonshire County Council. Read more
St John’s: Spearheaded by Northampton Borough Council, this scheme includes a new hotel, as well as a student accommodation complex. Neighbouring Project Angel, it will complement the various heritage and cultural attractions in the surrounding area. Read more
