Spades project, which helps the elderly with gardening and

£19,090 to upgrade the alarm and CCTV system at The
Fishmarket and undertake essential repairs
Norton Vilage Community
Association
£4,905 to undertake damp proofing and redecoration of the
village hall and build new storage cupboards
Towcestrians Sports Club
£4,000 to purcase a triple bladed ride on a mower to
maintain th sports pitches to an acceptable playing standard
Yardley Gobion Recreation Centre
£4,500 to upgrade the toilet facilities and replace the
emergency lighting system
Round Six Grants – September
2009.
Bugbrooke Sports and Community Centre - £10,000 to provide a
multi use games area.
Fernie Fields Sports and Social Club - £6,000 to improve
security.
Inspiration FM - £20,000 to purchase new radio broadcast
equipment.
Kairos Centre - £20,002 to equip the centre’s kitchen to be used
by visiting groups.
Talking With Hands Ltd - £7,999 to buy equipment for activities
for young people with hearing difficulties.
Round Seven Grants – December
2009:
The Northampton Banshees Korfball Club, which used its £2,714
award to pay for equipment, sports hall hire, coaching and
publicity materials.
The Sikh Community Centre and Youth Club in Northampton, which
used its award of £7,600 to pay for all kinds of equipment,
including arts and crafts materials and a Wii fit console, as well
as furniture.
The Bridge Substance Misuse Programme in Northampton, which was
awarded £19,000 to equip a gym.
The Old Village Charity in Walgrave, which received a grant of
£7,750 to establish a film club.
And ChessPoint Services in Northampton, which used an award of
£2,370 to buy equipment to enable it to expand activities into
coaching and tournaments.
